Growing up in Seville doesn't mean you have to become a flamenco dancer. Although Elena undoubtedly has the temperament for the dance floor. But after her studies in Law and Business Management, she wanted to go abroad and finally ended up in Kufstein.

Elena's transformation from a deeply rooted Andalusian to an assured Tyrolean began after a short professional stopover in Salzburg. During this time she learned to love Austria everlastingly. And so it became important to find a certain degree of long-term stability in terms of a career. "I searched the internet for an international company that would appreciate my Spanish. I found one in Kufstein."

Since 2017, Elena has worked at LKW WALTER with colleagues from all over Europe. She schedules, negotiates and organises full truck load transports between Spain and Germany as well as Switzerland. "I enjoy the multicultural atmosphere in the company and I've fallen in love with Tyrol." This is evident from the fact that she loves to go to the Tyrolean mountains and then treats herself to traditional Austrian delicacies in rustic alpine huts.

What career opportunities do I have as a secondary school graduate or university / university of applied sciences graduate?

Very good ones! In the WALTER GROUP you have every opportunity to start your career. You can join without industry knowledge in the context of an intensive trainee programme which we call "Train the Winner".

What career opportunities do I have as an experienced professional?

Generally professional experience or industry knowledge are not necessary for entry into our operational business. Because we educate new employees as part of our "Train the Winner" trainee programme and we cover both theory and practice. However, there are some areas in which we greatly appreciate relevant experience and previous knowledge. For example, in our IT, Legal or Sales departments, where we can offer (young) professionals attractive career opportunities. Our recommendation: Just take a look at our employment opportunities.

Does the WALTER GROUP offer apprenticeships?

The classic apprenticeships such as freight forwarding manager or office clerk are not offered in our company.

What does the application process involve?

In our employment opportunities each advert has a link that takes you to the online application form. Please fill it out and send it together with your application documents. Immediately afterwards, you will receive an e-mail. It confirms that we have received your application. Then it takes a maximum of 14 days for you to recieve a message from us about the result of your application. If it is positive, the next steps are:

First "getting to know you" interview by phone or Skype.
Face to face interview with one of our recruiters.
Possible second appointment with the head of a specialist department for certain specific positions.
