Gaëtane A.
Customer Success Manager
LKW WALTER

This was precisely Gaëtane's experience after she had completed her studies in "International Trade" in Liège. Luckily for LKW WALTER as well as for Gaëtane, she had taken a course in transport during her studies, and this had roused her interest in logistics. Still, after reading that French job advertisement, Gaëtane was a little surprised to realise that her dream job was in Kufstein.

Her initial scepticism quickly turned into lasting enthusiasm. Because both the varied tasks, first in her role as transport manager and then in customer service, and a happy private life meant that she came to feel entirely at home in Kufstein. “Originally, I hadn't planned on staying here for good. But everything just fits. Professionally as well as privately”.

"Everything just fits. Professionally as well as privately."

Gaëtane's personal tip:

LKW WALTER may be a large international company, but the hierarchies here are flat, the development opportunities are diverse and the team spirit is simply incredible.

Frequently asked questions and answers

Excellent! In the WALTER GROUP you have every opportunity to start your career. Whether you come from an educational institute with an economic, linguistic or even technical focus, you can immediately and directly join our business. Industry knowledge is not required, as you take part in an intensive trainee programme.

Supported by your own coach, you will improve your professional and social skills and continuously grow into your future roles. As the WALTER GROUP is constantly and sustainably growing, new career opportunities are continually arising.
Generally, professional experience or industry knowledge are not necessary to join our operations. We educate new employees as part of our trainee programme and we cover both theory and practice. However, there are some areas in which we greatly appreciate relevant experience and previous knowledge. For example, in our IT, legal or sales departments, where we can offer (young) professionals attractive career opportunities. Our recommendation: Just take a look at our Employment opportunities.
The classic apprenticeships such as freight forwarding manager or office clerk are not offered in our company.

In our employment opportunities each advert has a link that takes you to the online application form. Please fill it out and send it together with your application documents. Immediately afterwards, you will receive an e-mail. It confirms that we have received your application. Then it takes a maximum of 14 days for you to recieve a message from us about the result of your application. If it is positive, the next steps are:

  1. Initial "getting to know you" interview by phone
  2. A second interview (online or in person) with one of our recruiters
  3. Optional: A potential follow-up appointment with a head of department

We will inform you of the final result of your application by e-mail or phone. If you want information about your application status in the meantime, our HR manager will be happy to help you.
